Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026Your privacy matters here. This page explains what we collect, what we do not collect, and how the small amount of data we do handle is stored and protected.
What We Do Not Collect
We do not use tracking cookies. We do not build profiles on visitors. We do not sell, share, or broker any data to third parties. That is not the kind of site this is.
The Newsletter
If you subscribe to The Slow Dispatch, your email address is stored in MailerLite, our newsletter platform. We use it to send new essays and occasional updates. Nothing else. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
We download a backup of the subscriber list every three months and store it offline. This is a precaution, not a data operation.
MailerLite has its own privacy policy, which governs how they handle subscriber data on their platform. We recommend reviewing it if you have questions about their practices.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how readers engage with the site, which essays people spend time with, and whether visitors return. This data is aggregated and anonymous. We use it to write better, not to target anyone.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser. If you prefer not to be tracked by Google, browser extensions like uBlock Origin or the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on will work.
The Software
Think Deeply tools run on your device. No personal information, usage data, or anything you enter into the tools ever leaves your computer.
Some tools include an optional connection to an external service for pulling in information. This feature can be toggled on or off at any time. When it is off, the tool is fully offline. When it is on, only the specific request needed to fetch that information is sent. Nothing you have written, no usage patterns, and no personal data are transmitted under any circumstances.
Purchases
Digital products are sold through LemonSqueezy. Payment and billing data is handled entirely by them. We do not see or store your payment information. LemonSqueezy's privacy policy governs what they collect at checkout.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this policy, the updated date above will reflect that. We will not make changes that reduce your privacy without clear notice.
